A fun mini painting demo to smooth jazz music. You will need the following materials to get started: acrylic paint, paintbrush, napkins, water, and a canvas. This art project is inspired by a painting on loan from Art Bridges.

Family Art Time with SAMA: Musical Instrument
An easy step-by-step demo on how to turn a simple cardboard box into a musical instrument. You can make a harp, guitar, or drum! You will need the following materials to get started: empty box, circle template, sharpie, markers, four large rubber bands, ribbon, brads, and scissors. This art project is inspired by a painting on loan from Art Bridges.

Sugar Hill: Harlem's Historic Neighborhood
San Antonio Museum of Art Educator, Michelle Treviño, reads “Sugar Hill” by Carole Boston Weatherford. The selection for this book is inspired by "Bronzeville at Night," by Archibald John Motley Jr. This painting, currently on loan from Art Bridges, shows us Motley’s jazz-infused vision of Bronzeville, a black neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago.
