Highgate is a top independent co-educational school in London. We welcome pupils aged 4 to 18 across our Pre-Prep, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form
Welcome to Highgate School – we are justifiably proud of our 460-year history as a leading independent school, founded in the heart of Highgate village, north London.
Our co-educational school offers high-calibre and academically minded teaching with a focus on scholarship and independence for all, rather than on exam outcomes. Our varied co-curricular activities, and wide-reaching programme of charitable partnerships, enables pupils to develop interests and hobbies, forge lasting friendships, belong to teams, ensembles and casts, and learn the value of community.
We believe in making the most of childhood and adolescence; we want our young people to leave us intellectually and emotionally prepared for higher education and for work, as well as playing a transformative role inside and outside of school. And we want them to make great friends too.

Fees & Financial Support
As a charity, we are able to offer financial support towards school fees to eligible families applying to Highgate at 7+, 11+ and 16+. Bursaries can cover up to 100% of the fees throughout a pupil’s education at Highgate, making it more accessible to a wider group of academically able children.
