Notice for registration of foreign students
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & NRI
1. Admission to foreign students will be granted as per the policies of the Government of India (Ministries of External Affairs, Home, and Human Resource Development) as declared from time to time.
2. Admission of self-supporting students will be confirmed only after obtaining clearance from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Education), Government of India, New Delhi, or the concerned High Commission/Embassy.
3. Foreign students are required to submit a medical certificate indicating they have tested negative for HIV from an authorized medical institution at the time of admission.
4. The minimum eligibility for admission shall be
60% marks in aggregate
at the qualifying examination.
5. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
6. Applications must be accompanied by a
receipt of Rs 1,000/-
as processing fee, payable to the Registrar, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer.
7. A
caution money of Rs 5,000/-
shall be charged from self-supporting foreign students if they are provided with hostel accommodation.
8. No direct applications or documents from foreign students seeking admission to
P.G. or Ph.D. courses
will be entertained. They must submit their applications through the Head of the Teaching Department/Supervisor to the Dean, Student Welfare, for verification.
9. Foreign students are required to maintain good conduct during their course of study at the University. The Chief Proctor can take disciplinary action in case of defaulters. Fees and other dues must be cleared on time.
10. Every international student must report to the
Foreign Registration Officer
for visa extension at least three months in advance and maintain contact with the Foreign Registration Office for necessary formalities.
11. All admissions shall be provisional until all formalities are completed.
12. All other university rules applicable to local students will also apply to international students.
13. All inquiries and filled-in application forms should be addressed to the
Dean, Student Welfare, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer
.
14.
15% supernumerary seats
will be reserved for international students, including NRIs. Out of this,
5%
of seats may be reserved for children of Indian workers in Gulf countries.
15. Familiarization sessions will be organized for newly enrolled international students for at least three weeks before the start of classes. These sessions will include campus tours and information about the region, culture, facilities, and university support services.
