Breanna’s Story
Breanna’s Story
“In my third trimester, everything changed. We learned our baby girl, wasn’t measuring as expected. It was a shock, but I want to share my story so others know where to turn when they need support.”
Finding strength and support
When Breanna was born, she was perfect to me, despite the uncertainty that followed. Diagnosed with Microcephaly, a condition where the brain doesn’t develop properly, our journey became one of learning, strength, and love. My husband, Kevaughn, and I were determined to stay positive, even when Breanna spent her first 45 days in NICU. Seeing her seize and watching her struggle was heart-breaking, but we remained hopeful.
Facing the Challenges
Adjusting to life as Breanna’s mum was hard. I felt isolated at mum and baby groups, where I didn’t fit in and others didn’t know how to respond. People stared, and the lack of understanding hurt. My confidence grew because I had to be strong for Breanna, but I also felt so alone.
Keech has given us precious memories and the strength to face each day, knowing we’re never alone

Finding Keech
I reached out to Keech through their self-referral form and was amazed by their swift, compassionate response. Two specialist nurses visited us, truly listening and understanding our needs. Keech became a place of belonging, starting with a simple play session where I met other mums who understood my experience. We’ve built a supportive network that has made me feel less alone.
Creating Precious Memories
Keech has given us beautiful experiences as a family: trips to the zoo, photoshoots, and family swims in their warm hydrotherapy pool. Breanna loves the pool, where the warm water soothes her muscles, sometimes even letting her fall peacefully asleep. For us, these moments are priceless—being in a place where we feel cared for and understood.
Always There for Us
Breanna’s future holds no limits, and with Keech’s support, I know I’ll have the strength to ensure she has everything she needs.
Keech is more than just medical care; it’s a lifeline, giving us joy, comfort, and a community that truly cares
