About Statewide Databases
The Nevada Statewide Database Project began as a demonstration program in 1999 to provide access to high quality and accessible information to all residents of Nevada. It proved so successful that it was launched as a full venture in 2001 with support from the State Legislature and a focus on K12 resources. Currently, Statewide databases are provided through funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
