Empowering Financial Well-Being: Education, Therapy, and Guidance at Trocaire
Trocaire College proudly introduces a specialized Financial Health and Education initiative led by Jerry Inglet, Program Director under Workforce Development. Jerry is a Certified Financial Therapist™ and an Accredited Financial Counselor® with over two decades of experience spanning financial education, college planning, and intergenerational family governance.
Jerry has served in leadership roles with institutions such as Wilmington Trust, M&T Bank and now brings his nationally recognized expertise to the Western New York Community. He has been featured in
CNBC, Forbes, Wealth Management, Worth, The Skimm, US News and World Report, Family Lawyer Magazine, After 50 Finances, MarketWatch, The Dollar Stretcher, Newsday, New York Post, Financial Planning Magazine, Buffalo News,
and many other outlets.
This program is uniquely designed to blend financial education, therapeutic insight, and practical tools into a personalized experience.
Services include:
College Planning with a Financial Lens
– Understand the full range of financial factors and non-financial choices that impact the college decision. We provide guidance on items including, but not limited to, aid, merit awards, student loans, the Common App, building a college list, reviewing bills, and projecting costs and savings. This service is designed for parents and students considering all college institutions and for those at any stage of the college planning process. The initial consultation creates a personalized plan addressing over 40 critical areas tied to both financial decisions and the application logistics of the college process.
Service fees range from $65 to $85 per hour or $650 to $899 for a five-session package

Financial Therapy Sessions
– Address financial stress, communication gaps, and money behaviors for individuals, couples, or families. We provide support through exercises such as producing a financial genogram, completing an investment risk tolerance assessment, evaluating financial goals and spending habits, and offering tailored financial education based on the initial consultation. Additional tools and conversations are used to strengthen financial understanding, communication, and decision-making.

Family Governance Coaching
– Ideal for business owners or families navigating wealth transfer, values alignment, or generational conflict around shared resources. Programs may include crafting a family business employment policy, creating a shared family property policy, uncovering family values around money, and other services tailored to the family’s specific needs.

Services are available in person at 360 Choate, Trocaire Achievement Complex, at a client-designated location, or virtually for added flexibility.
Sessions are offered year-round. Most programs are delivered in 3 to 6 sessions and are spaced every few weeks to allow for reflection and progress.
