The best time of year to visit varies depending on when you are looking to start earning your degree. When you go to schedule your site visit, you can choose the date that works best for you between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Is the campus area safe?
Our Department of Security, in partnership with all members of the campus community, strives to create and maintain a safe environment. This is achieved through proactive educational and crime prevention programming, intervention, policy enforcement, and emergency response.
Students can also arrange a free, walking escort on the main campus, available 24/7 at 563-333-6104. The LiveSafe app also offers a virtual Walk With Me (shares your location with friend(s) and notifies them of your arrival).

Does SAU have fitness centers or recreational facilities?
Built in 2017, our
Wellness and Recreation Center
is 80,000 square feet of awesome. It features a 200-meter, 6-lane track plus pole vault; long- and triple-jump pits; 4 basketball/volleyball courts; 2-story cardio/weightlifting workout center, and more. Get involved in campus-wide intramural (competitive and recreational sports), as well as club sports, fitness, and wellness programs.

In addition to a large variety of food choices in the Cosgrove Cafeteria, students can also visit a handful of other casual dining establishments. This includes Tres Habaneros, Mr. Beast Burger, NASCAR Wings, SubConnection, and The Beehive in Ambrose Hall.
