Welcome!
The main VISA Advice team remit is to provide services as fully trained immigration specialists. However, we will try and assist with general queries about being an international student in the UK that you might have and which are not covered by other specialist team at the University. We have collated some
International Students Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
, so please check there first if you are looking for specific information. If you do not know which University team to contact for help with your query, please ask us and we will try and get you to the right department or information as quickly as possible.
You may like to watch our videos below. These will explain all about the VISA Advice team and the Social Team in more detail.
Getting the help and advice you need
It is important to the VISA Advice team that we are available to support as many students as possible, as quickly as we can.
The VISA Advice team run multiple weekly online
Live Chats
and In-Person
Drop-Ins
. We have a comprehensive website that provides detailed information about a variety of immigration topics.
If you have an urgent complex query, please
email us
, being sure to
include your student number and as much detail as possible in your email
(including copies of any visas). Emails are answered in the order received. We
cannot offer
an on-demand telephone or individual appointment service, although an Adviser will arrange a phone call or appointment if they think it is the best way of helping you.
Sending multiple communications about the same thing causes delays in our response to you and your fellow students -
we appreciate your support and understanding.
Please note that the VISA Advice team office will not be contactable due to Easter University Office Closures from Thursday 2nd April - Tuesday 7th April. Any communication sent during this time,
will not be checked, however we will respond when we are back on Wednesday 8th April. Thank you for your patience.
