The British Civil Wars were a time of great upheaval and change which affected every aspect of society, including what people wore.
Visit our new exhibition this winter to discover how clothing and fashions changed as a result of the Civil Wars. The exhibit includes rare original surviving pieces of clothing from the 1640s, including some items reputedly worn by Cromwell himself.
