higher education in this region.

About Us
DRAVIDIAN UNIVERSITY
Dravidian University, the brainchild of the late Padma Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, legendary film artist, humanist, and visionary, was established in 1997 with the aim of promoting Dravidian languages, history, and culture. His vision, initiative, and foresight were clearly reflected in the establishment of the university in Kuppam, a confluence of three states—Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. He succeeded in involving the neighboring states of Kerala and Puducherry in the noble cause of unearthing the hidden treasures of Dravidian languages, folklore, tribal studies, history, archaeology, literature, philosophy, herbal sciences, and technology through teaching and research. The university has been serving the cause of higher education in this underdeveloped region with the support and cooperation of the participating state governments.

DRAVIDIAN UNIVERSITY
