In addition to the three galleries, you can also see a science show or even take part in one of our holiday or weekend workshops.
Also on offer is free car parking, a gift shop and the Catalyst cafe, the perfect place to enjoy a tasty snack or drink whilst admiring the riverside views.

For a small addition you can upgrade your general admission and receive an annual pass so you can return again as many times as you like over the next 12 months!

Access for all
Catalyst has been designed with all visitors in mind, with ramped access to the front door, level access to all areas, a lift to all floors and accessible cafe, shop and a ‘Changing Places’ facility.
Workshops and family activities
Throughout the school holidays and at weekends we run a programme of exciting hands-on activities and family science shows.

Tickets for the workshops or shows cost £2.75 per person in addition to the normal admission cost.
Catalyst PlayLab!
Our under 5s PlayLab has had some lovely new materials added. Perfect for mini scientists to investigate. Located at the back of our cafeteria, this area is free to access and includes:
Mini Lab coats
Safety goggles
Test tubes
Toy microscopes
and more!
Come and let your young ones play while you have a relax with a coffee in the cafe!

Absolutely brilliant, interactive museum. My nephew loved it and would have stayed for hours if he was able to!
Special thanks to the lady who ran the chocolate workshop on Saturday, especially after the booking was muddled up with which workshop it was. She did a great job and my nephew was telling everybody all about how great it was! He was most pleased about getting to be the volunteer in the melting chocolate experiment, so thank you! Sorry I forgot your name, you were great though!
We will be back again I'm sure.
