The Scorpions of Sacred Heart played a flawless 1st quarter jumping out to a 15-6 lead after 1 period of play. Once again it was Jamie Carbajal leading the way with 7 points in the opening stanza.

That is when Nigel Martinez would hit from three-point land to start the comeback. Then Kevin Brown would hit two 3pt shots sandwiched between 2 Lisani Lambey Free Throws to put the Eagles on an 8-0 run cutting the lead to 4 points. The Scorpions would head into intermission leading 32-28.
Leading the way for Galen was Raul Roches with 16pts, Kevin Brown had 14pts, Roman Alvarez and Lisani Lambey each scored 11pts. Anttwon McFadzean would lead all scorers with 17 pts. Jamie Carbajal added 11 points while Elvert Ariola had 10pts.
The Galen Eagles would also like to wish our Western Regional counterparts the University of Belize Lady Black Jaguars good luck this Saturday as they look to bring home the Female Championship.
