First-time applicants should complete the on-campus or online student application. Previous applicants, students, or visiting students should not re-apply. Instead, read the Special Instructions below and complete the special form.

If you are applying as one of these special student statuses, review the special instructions for each.
Homeschool Freshmen
If your primary or secondary level education was homeschool, rather than in a public or private institutional school setting, visit

and then complete the freshmen application.
Veterans
Active or former military: Please complete our freshman or transfer application. Then, follow the
Incoming Veteran Checklist
and contact our
Office of Veteran Affairs
for guidance through the benefits process.
Post-Baccalaureate
Students with a bachelors degree who are seeking a second degree or taking undergraduate courses for other reasons, such as taking prerequisites for med school. Apply using the transfer application and send the official transcript from the college where your degree was earned.
Admitted and Visiting Students
If it’s not your first time applying, or you just want to take classes to transfer, follow instructions specific to your pathway.
Previous Applicants
If you were admitted within the last year but did not attend, you don’t need to re-apply. Instead, complete the
online update form
and select your desired entry term. If it has been more than a year since you were accepted, you need to re-apply.
Previous HCU Students
If you have previously attended HCU, took a break from school for one or more semesters, and wish to return to complete your degree, please follow the
readmission process
.
Visiting Students
Current undergraduate students at a university other than HCU who desire to enroll at HCU for a single term with the intention of taking the credit back to their university. Read the
