Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) - University of Plymouth
Skip to content
The University is proud to be an early adopter of KTPs and has been successfully delivering programmes for over 40 years.
The KTP scheme forms a valuable partnership between businesses, academics within a research institution (like the University of Plymouth), and graduates. Part-funded by government, the project promotes innovation and commercialisation, leading to increased productivity, profitability, and an average £1.6m of increased turnover* for businesses.
Between 2010 and 2020, Innovate UK invested £223m in just over 2,100 completed projects across the UK. These completed projects engaged with nearly 1,900 businesses, 136 institutions (like the University of Plymouth) and over 3,000 associates across the UK.
