Nazareth Early Childhood Centre is a long day care and Catholic preschool inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to the Early Years Curriculum. We provide an exciting and educational environment, welcoming children from 6 months up to the age of 5.

We recognise families as providing a child’s first and ongoing experience of love, faith and learning, and we value working in partnership to provide the best educational start for your child. This partnership with you will be trusting, caring and honest. We celebrate the individuality of all children and delight in seeing them develop into the person God intended them to be.
Our Philosophy
Our Early Childhood Learning Philosophy is more than a statement – it’s a living expression of our values, beliefs, and daily practices. At Nazareth, it guides the way we nurture, educate, and connect with our children, families, and the world around us.

We are thrilled to officially announce our partnership with the South Australian Government and the Office of Early Childhood Development (OECD) to deliver 3-year-old preschool from 2026.
Our current preschool service includes 3-year-old children; however, now there will be an injection of resources to further support the teacher-led programs across our 3-5 neighbourhood.
Funding will be available for all children aged 3 to 5 years, with eligibility determined by the existing mid-year (30 April) and end-of-year (30 October) cut-off dates.
HESTA Award Winners
Operating at the highest quality, our ECC has been named the winner of the 2023 HESTA Early Childhood Education and Care ‘Outstanding Service’ Award. With only three other services across Australia holding HESTA Award titles, the award recognises our focus on inclusion and breaking down barriers, helping enhance children’s development. This award is testament to the exceptional standard of education and care we provide, and our commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning outcomes for children and families.

Our educators work alongside children as they grow so that they develop the skills and emotional capacity that will enable them to flourish. Our centre is staffed with university-qualified Early Childhood Education teachers and educators with a Diploma and or Certificate III in Children’s Services.
We have a unique and valuable professional partnership with Flinders University through their Occupational Therapy, Dietetics & Nutrition and Speech Pathology programs. This provides for both the centre and families’ expert observations, assessment and direction for early intervention and proactive development. Through this partnership, we can develop strategies to support children’s overall development.
