International travel may never be more affordable for you than it is while you’re in college. For one thing, if you plan to spend a term, a semester, or an entire academic year off campus, your Knox financial aid package will apply toward your tuition at your destination academic institution. There are also plenty of other funding sources Knox students can access, including: Your $2,000 Power of Experience funding (if you’re a junior or senior) Scholarships and financial aid from your chosen program (Knox students often receive very generous awards!) Alumni Hall is more than one of the best places to study on campus. It’s also the home to the Eleanor Stellyes Center for Global Studies. It’s the best place to begin exploring your options for off-campus study. We’ll help you find a program that’s a good fit for your educational and career goals–as well as other experiences you’d like to make a part of your off-campus experience, like an internship, a research project, or a volunteer opportunity. We’re also here to help you make sure you have everything you need before you leave and help you make the transition back to campus when you return. Explore Our Study Abroad Programs Spend a week, a month, a semester, or whole academic year off campus. 1-2 Weeks There are a number of Knox courses that include a short travel component as part of their requirements. You may end up in the Middle East working at an archaeological dig, travel to Ghana to study drumming, or cap off Japan Term with two weeks exploring the country and culture up close. 2-6 Weeks Knox’s six-week winter break is an ideal opportunity to go out and explore. Explore coastal restoration in Belize. Volunteer as a Spanish language translator at the Mexican border. Or join a spring break trip to help out with disaster recovery efforts. 3-12 Months Looking for a longer engagement? You can study for a term, a semester, or a full year at one of our partner institutions.
