There’s always more to substance use than “just” an addiction. We help you address related concerns, such as depression, anxiety, marital problems and more.
Accessible Options
Addressing substance use is hard. It’s even harder when you’re facing barriers to care. That’s why financial and transportation assistance are available to those who qualify.
Supportive Team
Everyone at NEC wants you to succeed. They’ll also coordinate with your family, primary care provider, probation officer, employer, etc., to give you a strong support system.
Treatment options
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to care. Our comprehensive service model offers an array of services to address the complexities of substance use and related concerns. You’ll work with your care team to determine a treatment plan that’s customized to meet your needs, and you’ll walk down the path together. Your plan may include the services below.

**Northeastern Center cannot provide methadone or suboxone but can prescribe other alternatives.
Financial assistance
Unlike other substance use programs, Northeastern Center serves everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We accept Medicare/Medicaid, commercially insured and uninsured clients. Additionally:
Northeastern Center offers financial assistance to those who qualify.
Our Consumer Benefits Specialists can assist you in applying for Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and other support programs.
Northeastern Center is a treatment provider for Indiana Recovery Works, which provides support services to those without insurance coverage who are involved with the criminal justice system. Learn more about this program, including the self-referral process, on the

with DeKalb County.
The grant-funded program rides to therapy, medical appointments, probation – anywhere that supports your recovery. To schedule a ride,

As a community mental health center, Northeastern Center provides comprehensive mental health services, including outpatient therapy and medication management, substance use treatment, adult residential homes, inpatient services, 24/7 crisis services and more. With 12 locations across DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties, it has served northeast Indiana since 1977.
