What is Honors?
The University of Wyoming Honors College challenges students to think at the intersection
of ideas—across fields and disciplines—through our distinctive, one-of-a-kind

Academic Advising
Honors students are supported by a dedicated Honors advisor who works in partnership
with their major advisor to guide them through their academic journey. This advising
approach helps you stay on track, set meaningful goals, and feel confident in your
path. Your Honors advisor also helps you take full advantage of the unique opportunities
available through the Honors College and the wider university community.
Advising
Honors supports UW students in identifying, preparing, and applying for nationally
and internationally prestigious scholarships that are offered beyond the University
of Wyoming and often support you in pursuing a graduate degree abroad. With application
preparation and feedback, students can acheive new academic heights.
External ScholarshipS
Many Honors College students have bold research ideas that require specialized materials
or supplies, or they aspire to present at academic conferences but face financial
barriers to travel. The Honors College helps turn these academic goals into reality
by offering a wide range of grants, scholarships, and funding opportunities. These

Tobin House, our dedicated Honors residence. This house serves as the central social
