Our Annual Review highlights for 2024/25:
Nearly 15 million people visited our venues, festivals and events.
Our services were used by 76% of Glasgow’s population in 2024.
We developed and launched three major city strategies – Glasgow’s new Culture Strategy, Events Strategy, and Community Learning and Development Plan.
The events we delivered and supported generated around £18 million in economic impact (GVA) for the city.
Our volunteers donated nearly 25,000 hours to supporting people and communities across Glasgow.
We continued to make a difference through successful projects and programmes tackling health inequality, digital exclusion, social isolation, and family finances and learning, as well as helping more people to access health and wellbeing support.
2024/25 was full of positives for our charity
Our Assisted Digital Support Service, based in our libraries and community centres, helped nearly 2,000 people access Universal Credit.
Nearly four million people visited our museums. ‘Discovering Degas’ at The Burrell Collection was one of Scotland’s most popular exhibitions.
Glasgow Club, Scotland's largest health and fitness network, celebrated its milestone 25th anniversary with 36,000 members.
Showing the breadth and importance of our contribution to Glasgow
Our Family Finances team assisted nearly 700 parents, with over 300 receiving financial support that helped them collectively access £1.8 million.
We developed an ambitious plan for culture and heritage to shape the future of Sauchiehall Street working with local communities and businesses.
Half a million people attended our events and festivals, reinforcing the city’s visitor appeal and reputation as a world-class events destination.
