Established in 1997 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the
support of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, Dravidian University
is dedicated to the integrated development of Dravidian languages,
literature, culture, folklore, history and tribal studies. Located
at the tri-junction of three states, it serves as a beacon of
higher education in this region.

Dravidian University has been at the forefront of advancing higher education, research, and
technological innovation. Kuppam, strategically located at the tri-junction of Andhra Pradesh,
Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, serves as a crucial educational hub. In line with the assurance of the
Hon'ble Chief Minister and to cater to the needs of the local population amidst a growing demand, this
proposal seeks to establish an Engineering College at Dravidian University, initially introducing
B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Computer Science & Engineering with
specialization in AI & ML. This initiative aims to address the increasing demand for technical
education under self-financing model for the university.

Vision
The vision is to be a leading institution that bridges technology and culture, enhancing national
integration through a deep understanding of Computer Science and Engineering. A holistic educational
environment will nurture creativity and critical thinking, enabling students to explore the
intersections of technology, language, and culture. By prioritizing research and innovation, the
goal is to redefine educational paradigms, fostering a diverse community that honors the unique
Dravidian heritage while preparing graduates to excel in a globalized world
Mission
To establish a premier engineering college that embodies the spirit of innovation and excellence in
Computer Science and Engineering, with specialized programs in Artificial Intelligence and Machine
Learning. The aim is to foster an environment that promotes quality research and interdisciplinary
collaboration, while integrating the rich cultural heritage of Dravidian languages and traditions
into the curriculum. The mission is to empower students to become socially responsible technologists
who contribute to the global community while respecting and preserving local cultures.
OBJECTIVES
1. Establish a Premier Engineering Institution
Develop a state-of-the-art Engineering College that meets global academic and industry standards.
Offer cutting-edge infrastructure, modern laboratories, and smart classrooms to enhance learning
experiences.
2. Launch Industry-Relevant Programs
Introduce B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Computer Science & Engineering with
specialization in AI & ML to cater to the growing demand for skilled professionals.
Align academic curricula with industry requirements, integrating AI, Data Science, Cyber-security,
and Cloud Computing.
3. Enhance Employability & Skill Development
Provide hands-on training, internships, and industry collaborations to improve job readiness.
Establish entrepreneurship and innovation hubs to support student startups and research projects.
4. Promote Research & Development (R&D)
Encourage faculty and students to engage in innovative research and technological advancements.
Secure funding through government research grants, industry-sponsored projects, and consultancy
services.
5. Adopt a Self-Sustaining Financial Model
Generate revenue through tuition fees, certification programs, and corporate training.
Collaborate with industries for sponsored research, internships, and infrastructure support.
6. Cater to Regional Educational Needs
Serve students from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, leveraging Kuppam’s tri-junction
location.
Address the higher education demand in rural and semi-urban regions by providing affordable and
high-quality technical education.
7. Integrate Sustainability & Green Initiatives
Promote clean energy solutions, including solar-powered infrastructure and eco-friendly campus
initiatives.
Incorporate sustainable engineering practices in curriculum and research.
8. Achieve Academic Excellence & Accreditation
Strive for NAAC, NBA, and NIRF accreditation, ensuring high-quality education and global
recognition.
Develop collaborations with top universities and research institutions for faculty exchange and
joint research.
By achieving these objectives, the Engineering College at Dravidian University will establish itself as
a center of excellence, fulfilling the vision of the Hon'ble Chief Minister and contributing to the
