Eastside Catholic Students Build Community at NWAIS Retreat
Eastside Catholic students attended the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) Student Diversity Leadership Retreat at Black Diamond Camp in Auburn. The two-day experience brought together high school students from more than 10 schools across the Pacific Northwest, offering EC students a meaningful opportunity to connect with peers and expand their perspectives.
Throughout the retreat, EC students participated in interactive workshops focused on identity, inclusion and leadership, while engaging in thoughtful conversations with students from diverse backgrounds. The experience was enriched by a keynote address from educator and diversity leader Rosetta Lee, whose message encouraged students to reflect, build understanding and lead with purpose.
By participating in the retreat, Eastside Catholic students strengthened their voices as leaders and brought back valuable insights to help foster a more inclusive and connected school community.
