Who May Apply
Albertus Magnus College welcomes applications from individuals of all communities.
Prospective students may apply throughout the calendar year.

Applicants to master degree programs may apply

or in person at our campus in New Haven. Admissions counselors are available to support
applicants through the admissions process.

Admission Requirements
Applicants to master’s degree programs must submit the following:
A completed application and $50 non-refundable application fee. The application fee is waived
for employer partners and for those that attend an information session.
A bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited college or university. Minimum cumulative
GPA of 2.8–3.0 (varies by program)
Official transcript(s) from the institution where the bachelor’s degree was earned.
Programs requiring prerequisites must submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities
attended, including:
M.S. in Accounting
M.S. in Clinical Counseling
M.A. in Art Therapy and Counseling
M.S. in Human Services
Two letters of recommendation from former professors or professional associates.
A personal statement or essay is required. For programs without a specific prompt,
applicants should submit a 500–600 word, double-spaced essay outlining professional
goals, reasons for pursuing graduate study, and educational expectations. For programs
with a designated essay prompt, applicants should respond to the provided question
and adhere to the stated guidelines, which may include a longer word count (typically
750–1,000 words).
Additional materials may be required depending on the program, such as:
Resume or CV
Writing sample
Interview
Art portfolio (for Art Therapy program applicants)
Additional letters of recommendation
