International Pre-Arrival Checklist
As you prepare for your transition to Chapman University, here are a few items to
take care of along the way.
Prepare for your arrival at the airport.
Planning for your arrival at the airport ahead of time will help make sure your travel
goes as smoothly as possible.
Check our
arrival tips page
to learn more about arriving at the airport in the U.S.
Waive your Chapman health insurance (only if you already have your own health insurance).
As a Chapman student, you are automatically billed for health insurance. But if you
have your own health insurance, you can waive this fee by submitting the Proof of
Student Health Insurance Form in your
Student Center account
.
If you have any questions, you can email Medical Assistant Julie Payn at
payn@chapman.edu
.
Complete your Health Record Form.
Before you arrive at Chapman,
complete your Health Record Form online
.
Secure your housing.
On-campus housing is not guaranteed for graduate students, but there are many off-campus
housing options near our Orange campus. You can learn more about living off campus
on our
Introduction to Off-Campus Living page
.
For housing information near our Rinker Campus in Irvine, CA, please contact your
program coordinator directly.
Contact your graduate program advisor.
Your program advisor will help you register and plan which classes you need to take.
Before you register, you should
contact your graduate program advisor
.
Register for International Graduate Student Orientation.
