VIEW
NEIL ARMSTRONG
On July 20, 1969, the world watched in awe as Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped out of the lunar module and became the first human to walk on the Moon. His famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," marked a defining moment in history and symbolized the limitless potential of human exploration.
Today, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio, celebrates this extraordinary achievement and preserves the legacy of Neil Armstrong and America’s pioneering role in space exploration. Located in Armstrong’s hometown, the museum offers visitors an inspiring journey through the history of flight, space travel, and innovation.
