Management of the University wishes to inform all Principal Officers, Deans/Directors and Heads of Department that following the passage of the law by the Benue State House of Assembly and its subsequent signing into law by the Governor of Benue State and Visitor to the University, His Excellency Reverend Father Hyacinth lormem Alia, on 30th December 2024, Benue State University, Makurdi, has been formally renamed Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM).
This renaming reflects the decision and policy of the Benue State Government and is now legally in effect. The university would continue to uphold its mandate in delivering quality tertiary education under its new name.
Sequel to the above, all Principal Officers, Deans/Directors and Heads of Department are hereby informed that all official communications, documentation and correspondence concerning the University shall henceforth bear the name Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM).
The directive of Management Committee on the matter is hereby conveyed to you for implementation, please.
