Leadership - International School of Hamburg Leadership Established in 1957 as a registered non-profit organisation, the International School of Hamburg is the oldest international school in Germany. Our long history of success is underpinned by decades of continuity of governance and leadership. Our organisation's governance structure, our tradition of a strong relationship between the Board of Trustees and the Head of School, as well as regularly gathering feedback from all our stakeholders have ensured unity and resilience in the face of challenges. The Association Leadership Team Board of Trustees The International School is operated independently by the Internationale Schule Hamburg e.V., a registered not-for-profit association. The Association elects half of the members of the Board, for a period of two years, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is held at the end of November or beginning of December. The parents of students currently attending the school elect the Parent Members of the Board. The Staff Member is elected by his/her colleagues.
