From the Lab to the Bedside
The work done in medical laboratories provides a foundation for a healthy society. Legacy Research Institute, one of the largest non-academic research programs in the country, seeks to develop innovations that move treatments forward in remarkable ways.
Legacy has scientists and doctors exploring innovations in orthopedics, trauma, vision, neurosciences, robotic surgery, cancer and more –– all aimed at advancing medical care.

A Shift: Keep People Healthy
One of our goals is to create a more efficient health care system by focusing on “care transformation,” which means we provide care to help people stay healthy and out of the hospital. To help achieve our goal, we partner with PacificSource Health Plans, a Northwest based, not-for-profit health insurer with a reputation for taking exceptional care of people in the community.

Seeking a Cleaner World
Striving to be as green as we can, we have dozens of efforts aimed at saving natural resources. Among these efforts are:
Running our own recycling and reuse center
Seeking products that minimize damage to the environment
Donating unused but high-quality food to homeless shelters
Using anesthesia that causes less damage to the air

Volunteering, Responding to Disasters
We are passionate about improving
health –– both locally and globally. Our
doctors, nurses and other staff travel across the country and around the world to help those recovering from earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires and other events.
