National and International Relations
About Us
The National and International Relations Cell of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur serves as the institutional gateway for global academic engagement, international cooperation, and strategic partnerships. The Cell plays a vital role in strengthening the international presence of the Institute by promoting academic collaboration, research partnerships, student mobility, and cultural exchange with universities and organizations worldwide.
The primary objective of the Cell is to foster meaningful collaboration between IIIT Manipur and leading foreign universities, research institutions, industries, and international organizations. These collaborations are formalized through agreements that define the scope and objectives of cooperation, enabling joint academic activities, collaborative research, student and faculty exchanges, and resource sharing.
The Cell actively builds and maintains strong connections among researchers, scholars, and experts in key domains such as information technology, electronics, artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity. These linkages promote interdisciplinary research, innovation, and knowledge exchange to address contemporary technological and societal challenges.
It also facilitates student mobility through semester-abroad programs, international internships, and short-term academic visits, providing exposure to diverse academic systems and global professional environments.
Additionally, the Cell supports international students by guiding them through admission procedures, academic integration, and cultural adaptation, thereby contributing to a globally inclusive campus environment.
