Health education and the promotion of healthy college lifestyles serve as the foundation
of the Student Health Services.
DSU students receive general health services from a licensed registered nurse.
Monday - Friday
8 a.m. to noon
Appointments or walk-ins welcome
Services include health assessment, diagnostic testing, screening and monitoring,
immunizations, and treatment of minor health problems.
We offer a wide variety of educational programs and services to help you achieve and
maintain good physical, mental, social, and sexual health.
A local provider serves as medical advisor to Student Health Services. We’ll refer
you to local clinics and emergency room physicians as needed.
All health records are strictly confidential. Nobody other than Health Service personnel
has access to them.
The North Dakota University System requires that new students provide documentation
of immunity for certain diseases unless an exemption is accepted.
For more details on these requirements or potential exemptions click here
.
An international student plan for health insurance is available. Information on this
plan is available at
United Healthcare Student Resources
, the Office of Business Affairs, or Student Health Services.
Any registered DSU student can use our services.
Visits to the Student Health Services office are free; you’ve paid for this service
with your student fees.
There is a small charge for certain vaccinations.
Student Health Services will not provide you with a written excuse from classes. It’s
your responsibility to arrange an excuse with your instructor.
COVID-19 Testing
DSU’s Student Health Services Center offers free rapid COVID-19 tests to DSU students,
faculty, and staff. Testing is available 8-10 a.m. every weekday. To make an appointment
contact our office. You’ll get the test results the same day.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Dickinson State University is not currently requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for faculty,
staff, or students. Some academic program affiliates (clinical sites, lab sites, etc.)
may require vaccination.
Group Exercise Classes
Classes are free and open to DSU students, staff, and faculty. You don’t need to pre-register
for exercise classes.
Each semester the Dickinson State University Wellness Program offers several group
exercise classes. The schedule changes each semester and is posted on the DSU calendar.
