The College Advisory Council works with the Principal and EREA NSW Colleges Ltd in an advisory capacity on matters of policy, strategic planning, finances and future directions.
HELEN RANDALL (council chair)
Appointed as the Advisory Council Chair in January 2026, Helen Randall holds a BA/LLB from UNSW and a Masters in Theology from Newcastle University. She has also completed the postgraduate Advanced Management Program (MAMP) at Macquarie University, the AICD Foundations of Directorship course and mediation training at LEADR (now the Resolution Institute).
After briefly practicing as a solicitor, Helen had a lengthy career with the ATO in a variety of technical areas with an emphasis upon litigation with roles as both practitioner and Director. Her responsibilities included regulation of policy, establishment and monitoring of professional standards and extensive liaison and negotiation with various professional bodies.
Helen then established a consultancy specialising in the investigation and mediation of personnel issues. In recent years her work has concentrated on the Not-For-Profit sector, particularly Education, consulting on governance, strategic planning, cultural/interpersonal issues and Child Protection matters.
She has extensive experience as a Director on the Boards of several independent Catholic schools as well as their Finance, Property, Governance and Risk Committees and is actively involved in her Parish at Ashbury. She is also a Trustee of Dominican Education Australia.
Her connection to St Patrick’s College was forged when her son attended the College, and she has since maintained a strong admiration and ongoing interest in its continued success, recognising its rich history and outstanding track record of educating boys into young men.
In addition to the College Advisory Council, there are four committees: Finance, Identity, Risk and Governance and Property and Capital Works.
