Applying to the Middle School (Grades 5–8)
Middle School is a time of transitions where students begin to discover themselves and their potential to change the world. La Jolla Country Day School challenges students in a nurturing environment to develop independence of thought, habit, and mind.

Schedule a Family Interview
The family interview is a conversation that will allow us to learn more about your family and for your family to learn more about La Jolla Country Day School. Families who submit an inquiry form or application will receive a link to schedule an interview.
Please note
that for students applying to Grades 5–11, the family interview includes both the student and their parents or guardians.

Receive a Decision from LJCDS
Families applying to
Tiny Torreys
who complete the application process by February 1, 2026, will receive an email notification with the admission decision on Friday, February 27.
Families applying to
all other grades
who complete the application process by February 1, 2026, will receive an email notification with the admission decision on Friday, March 13.
