of the 2025 Trend Tracker Survey Results, offering key insights into

products. The presentation highlighted current myths versus
facts about paper’s environmental impact and discussed actionable
sustainability practices that companies can leverage in their
marketing strategies to align with consumer values and strengthen
their brand messaging.

This event covered the comprehensive insights of new data compiled from the 2025 Two Sides North America Trend Tracker Report before it was released to the general public. This report has been conducted bi-annually and includes insights on the current and evolving attitudes around paper and sustainability, shedding light on how consumer perception has or has not changed. Results offer insights into what influences individuals to drive their buying and engagement decisions and how they might form these opinions.

Turning the Page on Sustainability: Paper’s Role in Your Environmental Messaging
Paper, print, mail, and paper-based packaging have a great environmental story to tell. Jules VanSant, Executive Director of Two Sides North America, shared consumer perceptions around forestry, paper, print, direct mail, recycling, electronics vs print, and other findings from their research findings presented in their 2023 Trend Tracker Report. We also defined Greenwashing (unsubstantiated environmental claims) and show how it plays a large part in reinforcing misconceptions.
With these data-driven facts, attendees were able to take back to their organization real sustainability messaging that will directly resonate with commercial buyers and direct consumers alike. They were able to leave the session with truth-based content ideas, language, and resources to help create environmental storylines. These could be used to educate your internal staff and customers as part of your marketing and sales efforts.
