QUALIFICATIONS / HIGHLIGHTS
PhD in Music, University of Manchester
Masters in Music, King’s College London
PROFILE
Dr Chua received full scholarships for her doctoral studies in music – the Overseas Research Scholarship and the University Research Studentship. Besides regular recitals in Manchester, she has concertised in Cambridge, Oxford, Glasgow, and York. She was awarded ‘Excellent Piano Teacher’ at the Liszt Memorial Prize: 2016 Hong Kong – International Piano Competition.
She is highly sought after as a music educator, having given masterclasses in the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music as well as the Central Conservatory Preparatory School in Beijing in 2016. At the Liszt Memorial Prizes: 2016 Hong Kong – International Piano Open Competition, she received the award of “Excellent Piano Teacher”. She has also adjudicated in competitions, such as the Singapore International Classical Piano Competition 2017.

Coaches saxophone sections of various school bands in Singapore and runs an active private Saxophone Studio
Recipient of the National Arts Council Postgraduate Scholarship for Doctoral Studies
PROFILE
Leslie has given recital and workshops at the Shanghai Conservatory, Sichuan Conservatory, Xi’an Conservatory, Tianjin Conservatory, Wuhan Conservatory, Conservatori Superior de Musica de les Illes Balears, Montclair State University, West Virginia University, Ball State University, Soochow University, Zhaoqing University, among others.
From 2006 to 2010, Leslie was a grant recipient from the National Arts Council (Singapore) for his studies at the Mahidol University, College of Music. Leslie was nominated into Pi Kappa Lambda for his superior scholastic work at the University of Wyoming. In 2016, Leslie received the coveted National Arts Council (Singapore) Postgraduate Scholarship for his Doctoral Studies at the Mahidol University, College of Music.
Deeply devoted as a pedagogue, Leslie is currently the lecturer of saxophone at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Singapore Raffles Music College. He also serves as a coach to the saxophone section of various school bands in Singapore and maintains an active private saxophone studio.
