You will acquire the knowledge and expertise essential for proactive leadership based on technology-enhanced management and making ethical and socially just business decisions. It is imperative that leaders and professionals be able to collaborate and work collectively to resolve common challenges and goals. The MBA seeks to train individuals and build capacity to become successful business professionals, leaders and managers and sound decision makers in a globalized world. This MBA gives you a range of skills and capabilities, including leadership capabilities, teamwork skills, strong values and effective communication abilities.
The Galen MBA
The Galen MBA is a professional graduate degree, which provides specialized training that enables individuals to operate confidently and successfully in a volatile and global economic environment. It prepares them to be leaders in their respective profession or business through a program of studies that focus on providing a practical education, merging theory and concepts to solve real world problems, developing or enhancing skills in leadership, management, strategic thinking, and decision making. The MBA degree takes students to a higher level, encouraging them to analyze, question, and find solutions to complex challenges.
Why a Galen MBA?
The Galen MBA is a professional graduate degree that provides specialized training to students to face the challenges of tomorrow’s business world. In today’s globalized economy, organizations seek strategic thinkers that possess a commercial flair, global understanding, and excellent people and communication skills. The Galen MBA will take you to a higher level in which it encourages you to analyze, question, and find solutions to complex business challenges and problems.
Through academics and mentorship, the Galen MBA focuses on providing a practical education- merging theories and concepts to solve business problems, enhancing professional skills in leadership, management, strategic thinking, negotiations, and communications.
Careers
Although most of Galen’s MBA graduates are already employed, the program is designed to assist students in transforming their interests into professional goals, including career change and development, in order to realize their leadership and management potential. With the support of faculty and resource persons in experiential learning, students will be able to determine where they aspire to be professionally and how to ‘get there’ in their career progression. They will learn to identify their strengths and weaknesses, what they have to offer, what employers are looking for, and how to differentiate themselves.
The MBA Courses
The MBA degree covers core management and related subjects. It requires completion of 12 core courses that total 36 credit hours, including a 6-hour course devoted to research methodology, proposal preparation and the research thesis. The core courses give students a solid grounding in the MBA skill set: economic theory, business theory, quantitative methods, accounting, finance, operations and strategy.  The program can be completed in 18 months.
