The Quad North Hall Mohn Hall Lion Hall Kraras Hall Affinity Houses The “Quad” residence halls (Crowell, Krause, Smith, and Walton Halls) are a special living community for first-year students. These living-learning communities offer dynamic, focused programming and events to assist students with transition to Albright College and campus living. Rooms in the Quad are furnished with desks, desk chairs, twin XL beds, closets, window shades and a microwave and minifridge. All rooms will be air conditioned and residents benefit from FREE laundry facilities. In addition to wireless service, ethernet connection is available. Students are responsible for providing their own television and TV cable cord. North Hall houses upper-class students who are able to select this living option during the housing selection process in the spring.  Each pod has a restroom area (3 showers, 3 toilets, 3 sinks) with a FREE washer/dryer unit, and a communal kitchen is available on the first floor of A-Pod. Rooms in North are furnished with desks, desk chairs, twin XL beds, closets, window shades and a microwave and minifridge. All rooms will be air conditioned. Students are responsible for providing their own television and TV cable cord Mohn Hall consists of premier single rooms and economy single rooms furnished with desks, desk chairs, closets, window shades, and a microwave and minifridge. Premier singles have full sized beds and economy singles have a lofted twin XL bed with the desk set up beneath the bed frame. FREE laundry facilities are located on the ground floor, and there is a communal kitchen on the first floor. All rooms will be air conditioned. Students are responsible for providing their own television and TV cable cord Senior Showcase Albright’s newest residence hall, Lion Hall opened in the fall of 2023 — offering single and double rooms within suite-style living for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Lion Hall is furnished with desks, convertible desk chairs, twin XL beds, dressers, closets and window shades. Each suite includes a three-seater couch, two arm chairs, a dining table with four chairs, and a full-size fridge. In addition to wireless service, ethernet connection is available. Students are responsible for providing their own television and TV cable cord. All rooms will be air conditioned and residents benefit from FREE laundry facilities. Kraras Hall is an apartment-style living environment for Albright College upperclassmen. This residential area has 52 gender inclusive suites, each consisting of a spacious common room area, a full-size kitchen, and various room sizes. Four, five, and six bed suites have two full bathrooms, and three bed suites have one full bathroom. Individual bedrooms consist of one bed, two beds, or three beds. Each suite includes a flat-screen television with Dish network. Apartments are separately vented and are all connected to Wifi. FREE laundry facilities are located on each floor and can be accessed at all times. Students involved in specific organizations may apply to live together in a shared club space in one of our affinity houses located in the neighborhood surrounding the college. The Office of Residential Life is located in the McMillan Student Center, on the ground floor near the campus mailroom and student cafes. You can find us down the hallway, just past the pool tables and mailboxes. Residential Life Staff Real support for real life If you ever have a question or concern, Albright residence life staff are ready to help. Our resident assistants (RAs) are trained in safety, campus resources, program development, and campus policies, and our coordinators are a support network for both the residents of their spaces and for RA staff. Our team participates in a 24/7, on-call rotation to ensure someone is available to assist with after-hours emergencies and resource connections. RA's program throughout the year, with most buildings hosting a program at least once a week. The kinds of programs vary, with some being active events and others being more passive but the goal is to create welcoming and inclusive communities within buildings. Outside of the residential buildings, Albright's many clubs and organizations also program throughout the year. Do students bring their own computers to campus? What if I don’t get along with my roommate? What is an RA? Is there a housing deposit? Students should reference this list , which includes items that are not permitted on campus. Please refer to the Compass Student Handbook for complete details. Although there are various computer centers on campus available for student usage, many students bring their own personal computers and laptops to campus. All residence hall locations will have wireless service to connect to the internet. Once you move into the residence halls, students will not be allowed to make room changes for the first two weeks. This is called a room freeze period. Students are encouraged to work things out with their roommates. After the first two weeks of each semester, if the roommates cannot reach a solution, they can request a mediation with a member of the RA staff. RA is an abbreviation for Resident Assistant. An RA is here to tend to residents’ needs. They are highly trained in the areas of safety, campus resources, programs, promoting a welcoming environment, and implementing the policies set forth by the college. There is an RA on duty, in every hall, each night. It is the RA’s job to make the rounds throughout the evening to be sure there are no problems within the residence hall. Each residential student must submit a $200 room/damage deposit. Any room or hall damages or fines will be deducted from the deposit. Any remaining balance will be refunded.
