Building & Facilities
322 South Juliana
Street
Bedford, PA 15522
The Museum is housed in the (1859) former
Common School building at 322 South Juliana Street in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
The building sits on 2 acres in Bedford’s historic district and
is a short walk from the town
square.
The two-story brick building and attached one-story annex are 30,000
sq. ft. in size. The building retains many of its original features. There is plenty of free parking.
The complex houses exhibition spaces, the Museum Shop, a reference library, storage, conservation, photography, exhibition preparation, workshops, seminars and classes, special events, food service, and more.
We are especially pleased to have found a building that is of the same period as the coverlets, and what a beautiful building it is! Many local residents have expressed great pleasure that the building will continue to be used for educational purposes.
A surprising number of people have said, “It was meant to be!”
