The building sits on 2 acres in Bedford’s historic district and is a short walk from the town square. The two-story brick building and attached one-story annex are 30,000 sq. ft. in size. The building retains many of its original features. There is plenty of free parking. The complex houses exhibition spaces, the Museum Shop, a reference library, storage, conservation, photography, exhibition preparation, workshops, seminars and classes, special events, food service, and more. We are especially pleased to have found a building that is of the same period as the coverlets, and what a beautiful building it is! Many local residents have expressed great pleasure that the building will continue to be used for educational purposes. A surprising number of people have said, “It was meant to be!”
