Tuition & Financial Aid
An Investment with Lifelong Value
The choice to send your child to boarding school is an extraordinary act of love and generosity and an invaluable gift to your child's future. We are honored that Canterbury is among the schools your family is considering.
At Canterbury, tuition covers far more than academics—it includes access to exceptional extracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, and transformative personal growth experiences. It supports small class sizes, expert faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and a dynamic residential life program. We understand this is a significant investment and are committed to helping families explore financial aid and payment options to make a Canterbury education accessible for those who share our values and vision for their child's future.

Students are required to bring a computer to school. All students have access to available printers on campus.
Books, field trips, and certain academic, art, and athletic supplies are not included in tuition and are considered additional expenses. The annual cost for these items typically ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 per year, depending on the student’s needs and course selections.
Boarding students have access to card-operated washers and dryers in the dormitories. A third-party laundering service is also available with a wide variety of packages averaging $800 - $1,800/year.
Other optional costs may include music lessons and private academic tutoring.
We recognize that your choice to enroll your child at Canterbury School is a major investment — so we offer tuition payment plans that enable families to make payments based on various installment schedules:
For 2026-2027
Option 1:
Payment in full by July 31
Option 2
: In two installments, with 70% due by July 31 and 30% due by November 30
Option 3
: A ten-month payment plan for families who prefer to pay tuition and fees on a monthly basis, running June through March (FACTS Domestic Monthly Payment Plan)
Note: Domestic students in grades 9-12 are eligible for all three payment plan options. Postgraduate students may choose from Options 1 and 2. International students are eligible for Option 1 only.
Canterbury offers all enrolled families the option to purchase tuition refund insurance in the event your child has to withdraw from the school. Please refer to the

Learn More About Financial Aid
We understand that for many families, a monthly payment plan alone may not be enough to make a Canterbury education possible. For qualified families, we offer need-based financial assistance to help bridge the gap between what a family can contribute and the cost of tuition. Financial aid at Canterbury is provided in the form of a need-based grant, which does not need to be repaid.
