Message from the Chancellor
Education is meant to help us discover what is truly worthwhile in life. It should bring clarity in thinking, balance in living, and purpose in action.
Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth was envisioned as a centre of learning where India’s timeless wisdom traditions illuminate contemporary education. Inspired by the vision of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the University seeks to integrate the best of modern academic disciplines with the depth and insight of Bharatiya knowledge systems.
Our ancient sages did not view knowledge as information to be accumulated, but as wisdom to be lived. True education refines the intellect, ennobles the heart, and prepares the individual to contribute meaningfully to society. At Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, learning is therefore not confined to classrooms alone—it is a process of inner growth supported by enquiry, reflection, and right values.
In a world of rapid change and constant distraction, the need of the hour is education that builds inner stability, ethical strength, and a spirit of service. Our endeavour is to nurture thoughtful, capable, and responsible individuals who can face life with confidence and contribute with compassion.
I invite students and scholars to approach learning here not merely as a means to professional success, but as a journey of self-discovery and responsible living.
Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth continues to serve as a guiding light—upholding excellence in education while remaining firmly anchored in values and wisdom.
At His Feet,
Swami Swaroopananda
Chancellor, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth
Global Head, Chinmaya Mission
Message from the Vice Chancellor
At Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, we view education as a transformative process that shapes not only professional competence but also character, clarity, and purpose. Rooted in the rich legacy of the Chinmaya Mission, the University stands firmly on an educational philosophy that harmoniously integrates India’s timeless wisdom with contemporary knowledge systems.
Inspired by the vision of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda to bridge the East and the West, the past and the present, the scholar and society, CVV serves as a living confluence of tradition and modernity. This vision is further strengthened by the guiding insight that knowledge safeguards culture, and cultured individuals contribute meaningfully to society. These ideals continue to shape our academic culture and institutional values.
CVV is committed to nurturing an ecosystem where intellectual inquiry, ethical grounding, and inner growth coexist. Our programmes across engineering, management, commerce, psychology, education, Sanskrit, and the arts are designed to encourage interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and responsible innovation, while remaining deeply anchored in Indian Knowledge Systems.
With campuses in Kerala and Pune, a dedicated and highly qualified faculty, modern infrastructure, and a student-centric learning environment, the University strives to provide holistic education that prepares learners for global challenges without losing sight of cultural rootedness. Beyond academic excellence, we emphasize values such as integrity, discipline, inclusivity, and selfless service, enabling students to grow into compassionate leaders and responsible citizens.
As Vice Chancellor, I warmly invite students, faculty members, researchers, and partners to be part of this meaningful journey. Together, let us continue to uphold the Chinmaya vision and work towards an education that empowers the mind, ennobles the heart, and inspires purposeful action.
Sincerely,
Prof. Manoj Kumar Arora
Vice Chancellor, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth
