About the Artist
Otuo Acheampong Kwesi Sarkodie
hails from the
Ashanti Region
and is currently based in
Accra
. His journey into the art world began with designing and weaving Kente cloth in his hometown. Through regular travel between
Kumasi
and
Accra
to market his Kente designs, Kwesi discovered a new passion for painting. Initially applying his creativity to room decoration, he gradually transitioned to working on canvas, developing a unique style that bridges tradition and innovation.
Today, his art reflects a strong commitment to cultural preservation and storytelling, with each piece offering viewers a glimpse into the complexities and beauty of African life.
