The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has named Jessalyn Sabin to serve as president of Minnesota North College. The appointment becomes effective July 1, 2026.

Students and faculty from the Electrical Maintenance and Construction program, along with those from Hibbing High School, were present alongside Habitat for Humanity families, board members, staff, elected officials, the Hibbing Foundation, the Applied Learning Institute, and school administrators to celebrate the groundbreaking of the latest Habitat for Humanity home in Hibbing.

Banned Book Week: Minnesota North Itasca Campus to host Banned Books Event
GRAND RAPIDS — An event at Minnesota North College-Itasca will highlight banned books as part of Banned Books Week, Oct. 5-11. The American Library Association and Amnesty International declared the week “at a time when free speech and free expression seem more directly under fire than ever,” a news release from the college stated.
