Nazareth Weekly: Term 1, Week 11, 2026
Community | From the Acting College Principal
As we reach the conclusion of Term 1, we encourage our students to take time to reflect on the progress they have made so far this year. The grades received at this point provide an important opportunity for reflection, they may affirm the strategies and work habits currently in place or signal a need to set new goals and adjust approaches to learning. This process of reflection, growth and goal‑setting is a valuable part of developing each student as a confident and capable learner.
Nazareth Catholic College continues to offer our young people a rich and diverse range of learning experiences, academic, co‑curricular, cultural and faith‑based, that support the development of the whole person. I am deeply grateful to our staff for the commitment, care and collegiality they demonstrate each day. Across a wide range of roles, our staff work tirelessly to support, challenge and encourage our students to be their best.
As Term 1 draws to a close, I wish all our students, staff and families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break. I also acknowledge that our Year 12 students will continue their learning through scheduled workshops during the break, supported generously by our staff. Thank you to those involved for their ongoing dedication.
May the break provide time for rest, renewal and reflection as we prepare for the term ahead.

R-12 | Co-curricular Sports Uniforms - Jersey Numbers
We have recently had a few situations where students on the same team are wearing the same jersey number. This can happen when jerseys are passed down to siblings or sold second-hand and the uniform shop has not been notified of the number change.
If your child is playing an after-school sport and is using a jersey that was handed down or purchased second-hand, please let the
Uniform Shop
know the jersey number so we can record it.
If there is a number conflict, please contact your child’s Sports Coordinator so the issue can be resolved.

Winter uniform fittings are now open! Appointments are essential for:
✅ Year 3 students transitioning to Winter Uniform
✅ New Year 7 students in 2026
✅ New families to the College
Each child needs a separate booking, so please schedule accordingly.
A friendly reminder that some sizes in our Uniform Shop are in limited supply. Items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and special orders in requested sizes are not available. We recommend visiting the shop as soon as possible to secure what you need.

If your child is involved in sport, music or any other co-curricular activity in 2026,
Clipboard
will be your go-to platform for all communication, including fixtures, training schedules, reminders, transport information, and important updates.
All families have received login details via email - even if your child is not currently participating. Please log in and set up your profile as soon as possible.
It is essential that students and families

R-12 | Tuition Fee Payments & Finance Office
2026 tuition fee payments were due at the end of March. If your account has not been paid in full or you have not commenced a weekly or fortnightly direct debit we ask that you contact us as a matter of urgency.
Accounts must be finalised by 13 November 2026 unless an approved payment plan is in place with the Finance team.
Please check your emailed statements regularly for any additional charges and to monitor your payments.

, the campus will gather for 9:15am Mass to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.
Families are warmly invited to attend the Parish Mass, tomorrow at 9:15am in the OLM Church at Findon. We invite you to join together for a coffee or drink after Mass in the Café. Thank you for respecting our sacred space and saving your coffee for before or after Mass.

Coffee service will stop between 8:40am – 9:00am to allow mothers to be involved in our Blessing on the oval.
R-6 | Extend OSHC
R-6 | Mayoral Make-a-Book Literacy Challenge
Students are welcome to write an original book and enter the challenge.
The criteria for your book entry can be:
a story, graphic novel, informational, poetry. . . and on any topic
created by yourself, with friends or even your whole class
up to 1000 words in length.
Prize vouchers are awarded to the most outstanding entries. Certificates will be given to students who participate.
Judges look for:
original ideas and themes, creative use of language, sound spelling and grammar (drafting and proofreading are important!)
a balance between beginning, middle and end
appealing design, layout and format; illustrations that complement the text (if applicable)
presentation and neatness
* Binding style is not judged but make sure your book is strong enough to be handled

How to enter
It is a requirement of entry to
complete and sign
the Mayoral Make-A-Book entry form which can be found in the Primary Library.
All entries need to be handed into the Library by Friday 26 June 2026.

Access to SEQTA provides you with an opportunity to view your child’s progress and grades live throughout the term. By providing this real-time feedback, we are empowering our students in their development and keeping you informed during the learning process. The upcoming Learning Conversations are provided for those who may have concerns or matters requiring further discussion.
It is our honour to work in partnership with families in an interactive manner throughout the semester by having live feedback and assessment available on SEQTA.
As learning is student-led, your child is expected to attend the conversation with you in their formal uniform.
