> Family Policy Council
The Family Policy Council, officially known as the Coordinating Council for Children, Youth and Families, develops policy and program recommendations to ensure that Cambridge is a place where children and youth are healthy, safe, educated, and civically engaged. Its membership includes the Mayor, residents, elected officials, City department heads, and community and nonprofit leaders as well as business, early childhood, philanthropic, state, university, and youth representatives.
The Cambridge Youth Council (CYC) is a subcommittee of the Family Policy Council. The diverse group of high school students provides the Family Policy Council with valuable feedback. The CYC focuses on projects that address opportunity gaps in Cambridge.
