Established in 1997 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the
support of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, Dravidian University
is dedicated to the integrated development of Dravidian languages,
literature, culture, folklore, history and tribal studies. Located
at the tri-junction of three states, it serves as a beacon of
higher education in this region.

Coaching for Entry into Civil Services
Under coaching for entry into services scheme About Rs. 2.0 lacs were spent for procuring standard books regarding various competitive exams. About 800 titles were bought covering basics to high standard discourses of various subjects. These books comprises areas such as History, Culture, Heritage, India Polity and Politics, Indian Economy, Geography, Numerical and Arithmetical Ability, Logic and Reasoning, General and Special Aptitude, Physical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Commerce and Management, Computer applications Information and Communication Technology General Essays, Corporate Communication, Soft Skills, Personality Development, Better Writing Skills etc.
Student Support:
The students found these books very valuable and have started spending more number of hours in this Centre.
For the benefit of the students this Centre is open from
8.00am to 08.00pm
on all the working days. A special care is also taken to bring relevant study material for forthcoming competitive exams like DSC-2013, Staff Selection Commission-2013, APPSC Group-I and II-2013, Railway Recruitment Board Exams 2013 and IBPS Exams for the recruitment of clerks and officers in various nationalized banks, NDS, CDS etc.

Remedial Coaching Schemes for SC-ST
The remedial coaching scheme is meant for those students belonging to marginalized social groups and is not able to cope up with regular class-room teaching and not so motivated. Under this scheme the University invited experts in the fields of Psychology, Personality Development, Leadership Development, Motivation, Self Assessment, Soft Skills and Corporate Communication.
Programme Scope:
About 50 classes were conducted with a huge gathering of students by eminent experts.
About 50 classes with huge gathering of students were done with experts like Dr. Swamy, Dr NB Sudhakar Reddy, Prof. Govinda Reddy (SVU), Prof. GV Ramana (SKU), Dr. Ramakant Sharma, Dr. K. Narasimha reddy, Mrs. S. Begum (trainee DSP), Kuppam, Dr. Ch Kondaiah, Director, Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy Institute of HRD.
A Separate intensive session for personality and leaderships development to the students were organized. In this programme classes were conducted for each school by the experts in this field. Later the feedback also collected from the students which showed a positive attitude and motivation among many students.
