Annual Report 2023
The Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) was established by the Community Water and Sanitation Agency Act, 1998 (Act 564) to facilitate the provision of safe water and related sanitation services to rural communities and small towns in Ghana. In October 2019, Cabinet gave policy approval for the National Community Water and Sanitation Policy Reform which has expanded CWSA’s mandate to include the management of pipe water systems. This report outlines the key activities and deliverables of CWSA in the year 2023 in fulfilment of its mandate and in contribution towards the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 which is to ensure the
‘availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all’

This report presents the key activities and deliverables of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in the year 2021 towards ensuring ‘availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all’ working in partnership with other Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector players.
