CWSA Board of Directors Gains Firsthand Insight During Field Visit to Aveyime Water Treatment Plant. - Community Water and Sanitation Agency
The Board of Directors of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) on Wednesday 19th August, 2025, visited the Aveyime Water Treatment Plant of the Three District Water Supply Scheme. The visit sought to equip the Board with practical operational insight to better inform their governance responsibilities in ensuring sustainable and efficient water service delivery to thousands of households.
The tour, which included key management staff from CWSA, focused on understanding the intricate processes that transform raw water from the Volta River into clean, safe, potable water. The Board was guided through the plant’s major units, from the initial intake and coagulation stages to filtration, disinfection, and finally, the high-lift pumps that send water into the transmission network.
