Our program supports over 1,100 student-athletes each year with comprehensive strength, conditioning, and injury prevention services.

students participated in Bellarmine athletics. This number includes many two- and three-sport athletes across all three seasons.

While sport-specific equipment details vary by team, Bellarmine provides access to professional-grade training equipment through its performance center, including tools for speed, strength, conditioning, and injury prevention. Athletes also benefit from the expertise of full-time staff supporting their physical development and recovery.

They focus on reducing injury risk and improving athletic performance through targeted training in speed, power, strength, conditioning, and mental resilience. All athletes have access to this support as part of their team experience.
Bellarmine offers comprehensive sports medicine support for all student-athletes. Services include injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play protocols, managed by a team of full-time professionals. The program is recognized as a
Safe Sports School – 1st Team
by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Bellarmine is a member of the
West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL),
one of the most competitive high school athletic leagues in California. The school also competes in the
Central Coast Section (CCS)
and is part of the
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
Bellarmine consistently ranks among the top-performing schools in the league across multiple sports.
Bellarmine has one of the most successful high school athletics programs in the state, with 302 WCAL team championships, 198 CCS titles, and 10 CIF NorCal championships.
Swimming & Diving leads the way with 35 WCAL and 41 CCS titles. Other standout programs include Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis, and Track & Field—all with multiple league and section championships.
Each year, approximately 25 Bellarmine athletes are recruited to play at the collegiate level. Over 65 alumni are currently competing in NCAA programs.

Bellarmine is a member of the
West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL),
one of the most competitive high school athletic leagues in California. The school also competes in the
Central Coast Section (CCS)
and is part of the
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
Bellarmine consistently ranks among the top-performing schools in the league across multiple sports.
Bellarmine has one of the most successful high school athletics programs in the state, with 302 WCAL team championships, 198 CCS titles, and 10 CIF NorCal championships.
Swimming & Diving leads the way with 35 WCAL and 41 CCS titles. Other standout programs include Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis, and Track & Field—all with multiple league and section championships.
Each year, approximately 25 Bellarmine athletes are recruited to play at the collegiate level. Over 65 alumni are currently competing in NCAA programs.
