At Sayre, we thrive on connection. Throughout the year, we host events that bring families, teachers, students, and alumni together. Get ready to create lasting memories at some of our annual favorites.

An online fundraising blitz featuring friendly competitions among units.
A spring event celebrating Kentucky’s rich horse racing tradition.
A Friday afternoon event at the Sayre Athletic Complex, hosted by the Sayre Parents Association and featuring booths, activities, inflatables, games, and snacks
Held each spring to show our appreciation for Sayre’s dedicated faculty and staff.
In celebration of Sayre’s founder, David A. Sayre, a special day around his birthday, March 12.
Also known as Grandparents/Special Persons’ Day, an annual November event celebrating Sayre grandparents and special friends
A series of events celebrating our seniors as they prepare to graduate, beginning with Seniors on the Steps, Chalk the Circle, Senior College T-shirt Parade, Baccalaureate, and ending with Graduation on Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend.
A week of celebration leading up to the homecoming game, court, and dance.
An opportunity to meet and support our student-athletes and coaches.
Art shows, culmination units, theatre productions, and musical performances held throughout the year by various divisions
Sayre’s signature fundraising gala of the year, held in March and including cocktails, dinner, in-person auction, virtual auction, and a Senior Spotlight
Held on Fridays and featuring a more relaxed dress code and spirit wear available through the
Spartan Shop
