Overview
The Centre supports postgraduate learning through flexible delivery for employed participants, combining online and face-to-face teaching with workplace-based application.
UNRE’s postgraduate management pathway is designed for working professionals who want to improve work performance, strengthen leadership and management practice, and progress from short-course participation through to postgraduate diploma and masters-level study.
Teaching is delivered by eminent academic professionals from overseas universities, and participants complete formal assessment tasks or examinations to gain credit in each module.

Study Options
Courses are articulated so credit from one program can flow into the next in a step-wise manner.
Masters in Management (Research)
Attempt all six core modules and choose two electives.
Entry requirement: A bachelor degree in a given academic discipline with 3 years professional experience.
Research thesis module included after completion of four modules plus Research Methods.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Management
Attempt four core modules from the program.
MMS100 Research Thesis and MMS126 Research Methods are not available for this course.
Entry requirement: A bachelor degree in a given academic discipline with 5 years professional experience.
Professional Development (Short Course)
Participants may enrol module-by-module in a non-award format without sitting for a formal examination if they do not wish to study towards a UNRE qualification.
Certificate of Attendance available in short course format.
Certificate of Professional Development may be issued where a participant attends but does not complete assessments.

Learning Format
Participants receive learning materials, including study guides, 4–6 weeks before lectures begin. Classes are delivered either online via Zoom or in person in Kokopo in intensive 1–2 week blocks, typically from 8am to 5pm daily.

Pre-reading and guided preparation before lectures.
Interactive sessions introducing relevant theories, concepts, and contemporary practices.
Application of learning to participants’ own workplaces or local communities.
Action plans and assignments documenting results and learning outcomes.
Assessment
Formal examination or three assessment tasks for each module.
For online/self-study classes, the third assessment task may replace a formal examination.
Participants who do not complete assessments may repeat the module with full fees.
