Welcome
Welcome to Government Polytechnic, Panaji, the oldest and biggest Polytechnic in the state of Goa, offering 11 diploma programmes under Board of Technical Education Goa. The campus is spread over pictureresque hill of Altinho.
This Institute also runs M.H.R.D sponsored schemes i.e Community Development through Polytechnics Scheme (CDTP) for Skill Development of dropout students and Transfer of Technology to rural masses. Person with Disabilities Scheme to enable differently abled students to join mainstream of Technical Education or undergo job oriented short term courses.
This Institute is also bestowed with status of Community College, which is only one in the State of Goa and the among 60 Community Colleges in the country. Under this scheme, two Diploma vocational courses in sector Construction and Infrastructure i.e Building Technology and Refrigeration & Air conditioning respectively will be started shortly under National Mission of Skilling India.
The total seats offered for admissions are 322 and the process is conducted centrally at the office of the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim - Goa.
