The Department of Humanities, Languages and Cultural Studies (HLCS) came into existence in 2019. Its objective is to provide value-based education to the students, and to make them employable so that they become professionals with a difference to understand and meet the industrial and social expectations. Currently, the Department houses many disciplines such as English Language & Literature, Communication Skills, Punjabi Language & Literature, Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics, Political Philosophy, and Indian Political System etc. The Department is actively engaged in teaching, research, training, and outreach activities. In keeping with its multidisciplinary character, it carries out research in diverse and emerging areas of human interest and social concerns.
